Managing The Cold SeasonWe all know that it isn't safe to take medication while pregnant, but during the months of cold season that can seem an impossibility. There's still no cure for the cold, but you may want to try some home-remedies for the symptoms. First and foremost, get some rest. If possible, take a day or two off work to give your body adequate opportunity to fight the cold. Try to find a friend or family member who can care for your child while you sleep for a few hours. Remember that your body is fighting dehydration when you have a cold, so keep your water bottle handy. Although fluids may make your stuffy nose become a runny nose, the increased energy and stamina that comes from being properly hydrated may be worth the box of tissues you go through. Just having enough sleep, and keeping your body hydrated can have a dramatic impact on the way you feel. Here is a list of suggestions that other mothers have found useful.
